Meet Molly Yeh’s husband, Nick Hagen.
Molly wasn’t all the time planning on a occupation as a chef, let alone as a chef with her personal cooking display on the Food Network. She was born to musicians, and growing up, Molly inherited their interest for song. After high school, she even moved to New York City to wait the prestigious Juilliard School, for percussion.
But in spite of her well-laid plans, Molly’s existence took an unexpected flip. While she was once at Juilliard, Molly met her future husband, Nick Hagen, who was also a student on the conservatory. The two changed into shut and in the end began relationship, prior to transferring to Nick’s family farm in Minnesota to pursue farming.
The Hagen family farm is positioned in East Grand Forks, Minn., and covers an enormous 220 acres. Nick inherited the farm — which has been in his family for generations — from his parents. Nick himself is a fifth-generation farmer.
The couple made their dating respectable by tying the knot on Dec. 27, 2014. They got married at “the outdated store,” which Molly explains on her blog is the oldest building at the farm. The rite used to be intimate, with Molly’s brother-in-law, John, officiating, and with music equipped via her father and her just right pal Sam.
In true chef fashion, Molly made all of the muffins for her wedding, together with plenty of showstopper cakes. She made up our minds on a sprinkle cake, a marzipan mousse cake, vegan coconut cupcakes, pink velvet cake jars, crack pie bars, chocolate ganache pie, and Dunkaroo pie.
Molly’s love for sprinkles also triggered her to invite wedding ceremony visitors to throw sprinkles on the newlywed couple after the rite, instead of rice.
Molly Yeh and Nick Hagen have two children.
Molly introduced her “approaching little nugget” on her blog in November 2018, and fans adopted her being pregnant journey through her weekly updates till her daughter, Bernadette Rosemary Yeh Hagen, was once born a few months in a while March 30, 2019.
Bernie has a doubly special name. She’s named after Nick’s great-great-grandfather Bernt, who emigrated from Norway to start out the farm that the family lives on now, and after Molly's super grandfather Bernard. The couple also gave their daughter the middle title Rosemary to honor Molly’s grandmother.
Although Bernie spent her first birthday in lockdown due to COVID-19, Molly and Nick still made positive to make it a special day, with Molly baking a phenomenal four-tiered rainbow cake.
In February of 2022, Molly and Nick welcomed their 2nd daughter to the family. Her title is Ira Dorothy Yeh Hagen, and her identify also has a different family connection. Her heart name is a tribute to Nick's great-great-grandmother, who is the unique matriarch of the family farm. Molly says that her and Nick's buddy Jamie urged the identify Ira, and so they liked it and decided to make use of it for their little girl.
