Meet the New Faces of the Showtime Drama

With ‘The Chi’ Season Five premiering on Sunday, June 26, see some of the actors joining the Showtime drama, including Nia Jervier and L’lerrét Jazelle.

The Chi returns for its 5th season tonight, Sunday, June 26, at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime. And should you tune into Season 5, you’ll see new faces joining the mix!

Showtime calls The Chi “a timely coming-of-age tale centering on a bunch of citizens on the South Side of Chicago who change into linked through twist of fate but bonded by way of the want for connection and redemption.”

According to Showtime, Nia Jervier is taking part in Tierra, “the poised, polished and pushed god-niece of Douda (Curtiss Cook), whom he recruits for a rebranding effort.”

After taking guest-starring roles in How to Get Away With Murder, Luke Cage, and Code Black, Carolyn recurred in the Netflix presentations House of Cards and Russian Doll, showing in three episodes apiece. In the former, she played Willa, leader of personnel for Claire Underwood (Robin Wright). And in the latter, she plays Agnes, grandmother of Alan (Charlie Barnett).

L’lerrét Jazelle plays hard-hitting journalist Fatima.

An actor on the rise, L’lerrét Jazelle portrays Fatima in The Chi’s fifth season. Showtime explains that the character is “a local journalist who wants the perfect for her neighborhood and is not afraid to carry politicians' ft to the hearth to get the fact.”

L’lerrét has a few TV credit to her identify: She guest-starred on the displays 4400, 9-1-1, and NCIS: Los Angeles, and she or he took a role in the Showtime pilot Coercion.

Antonyah Allen plays Simone, a new classmate of Kevin

And Showtime says that Antonyah Allen will seem in Season Five as Simone, “Kevin’s (Alex Hibbert) new classmate, an inventive introvert who repeatedly challenges him and opens his thoughts to new experiences.” Antonyah seems to be a Hollywood newcomer, not even having an IMDb profile yet!
