When it comes to reality TV personalities Nicole Sherbiny and Mahmoud El Sherbiny, it seems their rocky marriage has reached its finish.
Ever since Mahmoud arrived in Los Angeles on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, the couple has been preventing non-stop; the placement escalates when the pair has a large argument in entrance of Nicole's friends, prompting Mahmoud to invite for a divorce.
During the May 19 episode of the 90 Day Fiancé derivative collection, Mahmoud's discontent with his spouse and her habits persists. He even goes as far as claiming that he no longer loves Nicole earlier than accusing her of cheating on him.
Wait, what?! Is there any truth to these allegations? Here's what we all know.
So, did '90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?' superstar Nicole cheat on Mahmoud?
As of now, there is no concrete evidence that Nicole cheated on Mahmoud — but her Egyptian husband thinks differently. In the May 19 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, he accuses Nicole of cheating on him after she comes house inebriated at 2 within the morning.
When he asks who she was once with, Nicole claims she was once alone. However, when Mahmoud asks to peer her telephone, she seemingly freaks out and refuses. Mahmoud sees her response as confirmation of her affair.
"He wanted to see my phone," Nicole tells the digicam. "I refused to let him, and he said that the fact that I wouldn't open my phone is just proof enough that I'm a cheater. I was like, 'No, you just have to trust that I'm not.' It was ridiculous."
Nicole insists that she doesn't have the time to cheat on Mahmoud and does not plan on cheating on him both before telling him she was "at work." However, she later admits to being with her good friend Olga, prompting more friction between the couple.
Mahmoud is extra convinced than ever that Nicole's panicked reaction implies she's hiding "something" from him. On the other hand, the ex-veterinarian questions if their cultural differences, especially her carefree American way of life, are riding a wedge between them.
At this level, Mahmoud is de facto sure that Nicole does not care about him anymore. He bluntly expresses to Nicole that he no longer harbors any romantic feelings for her and as soon as once more asks for a divorce. Although Nicole is used to his comments about divorce, this declaration feels "more final" to her.
In the end, Mahmoud interprets Nicole's cold conduct as an indication of her disinterest of their relationship. He sees her choice to drink alcohol, which matches towards his spiritual beliefs, as a transparent indication of her want to end their marriage as soon as and for all.
"It's like a punch in the gut," Nicole says. "We've been through a lot of stuff together, like four years of it, and the one thing that we always did have that we wish we didn't have sometimes was feelings for each other, right? Because it'd be so much easier if we didn't. But then it flipped, and then I was like, 'OK, well then what's the point of anything if you don't?' He doesn't have feelings for me. I'm like heartbroken, but this is it."
She adds, "Mahmoud is simultaneously the best and worst thing that's ever happened to me. So it's going to be incredibly difficult for me to not be with Mahmoud anymore, to move forward. But the one thing that gives me, like, the strength that I need to do it is just knowing that I'll be free again."
