Led by way of the Quincy King, Yhwach, the Wandenreich invade the Hollow World of Hueco Mundo before surroundings their attractions on Soul Society. Ichigo makes an attempt to stop the Quincies from destroying Soul Society while Uryu digs deep into the previous, finding the massacre of Quincies enacted via violent Soul Reapers over a millennium ago that ended in their present enmity.

Using Squad Zero's unorthodox coaching strategies, Renji is able to become a long way more potent. However, Ichigo is not able to complete his coaching after failing to understand the actual nature of his personal skills. He is made to return house where he reunites with his eccentric father Isshin, who was once in the past revealed to be a former Soul Reaper before defecting.

Isshin confesses a groundbreaking truth to Ichigo, revealing that his mother Masaki used to be a full-blooded Quincy. This makes Ichigo half-Soul Reaper and half-Quincy.

After coming to phrases with his circle of relatives's secrets and techniques, Ichigo is in a position to whole his Squad Zero coaching. The relaxation of Soul Society continues to prepare for an epic counterattack in opposition to the Wandenreich.
