In the overall moments of the 3rd episode, the crowd settles in to watch a film. Conrad's (Christopher Briney) phone then buzzes, and he leaves. Steven (Sean Kaufman) follows him to the beach, and the episode concludes with Conrad suffering to breathe through a panic attack. Um, what the hell came about?! Let's find out.

Why does Conrad have a panic attack?
The fourth episode, titled "Love Game," choices up proper the place we left off — at the seashore, with Conrad dealing with another panic attack. He tells Steven to talk him via it, and as soon as he begins to feel a bit higher, he explains the cause of his nervousness — and it has nothing to do with Aunt Julia (Kyra Sedgwick) trying to sell the Cousins Beach house.
Conrad reveals he were given permitted to Stanford; his mother had a fable about her firstborn discovering himself on the West Coast, so he implemented and were given in. He's been dreaming about going to Stanford since he used to be 10 years old, but now that issues are simply starting to get better with Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), it doesn't make sense to transfer to any extent further.

Steven tells Conrad he does not must come to a decision about school right this 2d, encouraging him to speak issues over with Jeremiah first (who does not even know Conrad applied to Stanford). Conrad asks Steven not to tell the younger Fisher boy, and he promises to keep this to himself.

Sean Kaufman stated the scene was once "really, really important."
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Sean Kaufman mentioned that he and Christopher Briney were excited not handiest to paintings in combination but in addition for the chance to explore more severe issues referring to youngsters.

Chris revealed that he seemed ahead to filming this scene for months, as it explores Conrad's lifelong friendship with Steven, which audience haven't noticed much of ahead of: "I loved it so much," he shared. "Almost every night last summer, we'd be running that scene just so we'd really know it."
"It's a beautiful chance to explore their relationship, which you don't get to see all that much of," Chris defined. "It's referenced and talked about, and they're obviously childhood friends, but to get to see a moment of trust between friends and Steven having his back, I loved it. I think it's wonderful."
